Michelle Brooks is an Indigenous entrepreneur from Regina who owns Venue B Coffee Lounge & Events and Brooks HR Group. Through her businesses, she works to advance Reconciliation by creating opportunities for Indigenous people in careers and entrepreneurship, with Venue B serving as a social space to bring Indigenous and non-Indigenous people together.

  • Venue B Coffee Lounge & Events: A specialty coffee shop, café, and catering service in Regina's Warehouse District that transforms into an event space in the evenings. The space also features Indigenous art and coffee, and half of its staff are Indigenous.

  • Brooks HR Group: A human resources company that collaborates with employers to build diverse Indigenous workforces and provides training and career strategy support for Indigenous professionals and students.

  • Entrepreneur and Changemaker: Brooks left the corporate world to start her own businesses, motivated by her father's legacy and a desire to show Indigenous youth what they can achieve. She is a featured speaker at events like TEDxRegina 2025 and is a member of the Economic Development Regina board.

  • Reconciliation Efforts: A central goal of her work is to advance Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. She developed the Reconciliation Action & Accountability Network (RAAN) to help create and implement Indigenous-inclusive strategies for her network members.
